Beijing, September 20 (Workers' Daily - reporter Zheng Li and Zhang Rui of China Industrial Network) The 9th plenary meeting of the 16th Executive Committee of the All China Federation of Trade Unions was held in Beijing from September 19 to 20. The meeting thoroughly studied Xi Jinping's thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era and the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and conveyed and studied the important requirements of the Secretariat of the Central Committee on further preparing for the 17th National Congress of the Trade Union. Wang Dongming, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and Chairman of the All China Federation of Trade Unions, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech.

Wang Dongming pointed out that we should adhere to the study and implementation of Xi Jinping's thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era and the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and study and implement the important statement of General Secretary Xi Jinping on the working class and trade union work. As the primary political task of trade union organizations at present and in the future, we should truly learn and understand, and run through the whole process of the preparations for the 17th National Congress of the Trade Union, It should be implemented into the specific practice of trade union work.

Wang Dongming pointed out that we should pay close attention to the implementation of work, ensure the preparation of the 17th National Congress of the Trade Union and promote the "two no mistakes" and "two promotions" of trade union work. We should fulfill the basic responsibilities of the trade union, earnestly safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of workers, start from the big picture and small things, help the workers to solve the most direct and realistic interest problems and the most difficult and urgent practical problems, and make the "Workers' Home" and "Mothers' Family" more worthy of the name. We should give prominence to the reform of the construction of industrial workers, strengthen macro guidance, policy coordination, organization, promotion, supervision and inspection, and promote the construction of a large knowledge-based, skilled and innovative industrial workers. We should focus on maintaining and strengthening the political, advanced and mass character, make greater efforts and take more practical measures to promote trade union reform and innovation, strengthen basic infrastructure construction, and make trade union organizations more dynamic, strong and powerful. Under the leadership of political construction, we should strengthen the party building of the trade union system, promote the trade union system to develop in depth from strict governance of the party in an all-round way, and drive the trade union's own construction in an all-round way.

Wang Dongming stressed that, from the political and overall perspective, with a highly responsible spirit and rigorous and meticulous style, we should make solid preparations for document revision, personnel organization, public opinion and publicity, and hold the 17th National Congress of the Trade Union as a united, pragmatic, energetic and progressive conference to reassure the Party Central Committee and satisfy hundreds of millions of workers.

Li Yufu, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, Vice Chairman and the First Secretary of the Secretariat of the All China Federation of Trade Unions, explained the report of the 17th National Congress of the Trade Union (review draft) and other documents.

The meeting reviewed and passed the report of the 16th Executive Committee to the 17th National Congress of the Trade Union (draft for review), the Articles of Association of the Chinese Trade Union (Amendment) (draft for review), the financial work report (draft for review), the work report of the Fund Review Committee (draft for review), the list of candidates for the qualification review committee of the 17th National Congress of the Trade Union (draft for review) and other documents, and passed relevant resolutions, It was decided to submit the above-mentioned documents to the 17th National Congress of the Chinese Trade Union for deliberation. The meeting carried out the democratic procedures related to personnel matters and elected Cai Zhenhua as Vice President of the General Assembly. During the meeting, the 19th presidium meeting of the 16th session of the General Assembly was held, and Cai Zhenhua was elected Secretary of the General Secretariat.

Leaders of the Federation, members of the 16th Executive Committee of the Federation attended the meeting, members of the 16th Economic Review Committee of the Federation, comrades in charge of the discipline inspection and supervision team of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the State Supervision Commission in the All China Federation of Trade Unions, preparatory groups of provincial (district, city) federation of trade unions, national industrial trade unions, and trade union federations of central and state organs who were not members of the 16th Executive Committee of the Federation The main responsible comrades of all departments and directly affiliated units attended the meeting as nonvoting delegates.

Also from September 18 to 20, the 11th plenary meeting of the 16th Funding Review Committee was held in Beijing. The meeting elected Li Xiaozhong as the director of the 16th Funding Review Committee of the General Assembly. At the meeting, the financial work report (draft) of the 16th Executive Committee of the General Assembly was reviewed, and the work report (draft) of the 16th Fund Review Committee was reviewed and approved in principle. The meeting agreed to submit the two reports to the 9th Executive Committee Meeting of the 16th Executive Committee for review.
