The competition set up five professional competition projects, including agricultural machinery driving operators, agricultural machinery repairmen, animal disease prevention and control personnel, animal quarantine inspectors, and livestock breeders. 150 teams and 450 players from 31 provinces (districts, cities) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps participated in the final. The competition attracted nearly 100000 agricultural and rural skilled talents to participate in the competition.

This competition is the first national first class professional skills competition in the agricultural industry in China, and it is also one of the exhibition activities of the first harvest festival of Chinese farmers. Through theoretical examination, skill operation and other links, 25 players won the title of "National Technical Expert", 75 players won the title of "National Agricultural Technical Expert" and were promoted to corresponding professional qualifications.
