In order to race against time and fight against the god of death, Zhou Caiqi and her brothers crawled and even hung up in the narrow rescue channel full of steel and cement. Ignoring the danger of secondary collapse at any time, they fought for eight days, seven nights and 158 hours in a row. They wore out 92 protective gear and used up 486 grinding wheels, and successfully rescued 10 buried people. Even after entering the stage of layer by layer stripping, Zhou Caiqi and his comrades in arms did not abandon or give up, creating a miracle of life after being trapped for 131 hours.
In the words of Comrade Zhou Caiqi, "there are many ways to realize the value of life. I like the sense of satisfaction and achievement after saving people". After 12 years of employment, I didn't go home for one New Year's Eve dinner, and neither of my two children was born, let alone the parents' meeting and birthday. In 2021, the detachment issued a preferential policy that the squadron can apply for job transfer after 10 years of service. In the past 12 years, Zhou Caiqi and his comrades in arms successfully completed more than 4500 fire fighting and rescue missions, rescued and evacuated more than 5600 people, and received countless applause, praise and banners.
