Temperature stress caused by hydration heat shall be considered for mass concrete such as building foundation, bridge foundation and pier. The cracks caused by temperature stress have the characteristics of wide cracks and penetration from top to bottom, which will have a great impact on the bearing capacity, waterproof performance and durability of the structure. The temperature stress of mass concrete is caused by the expansion or contraction of concrete volume caused by the hydration reaction (exothermic reaction) of cement after pouring concrete, when it is constrained internally or externally.
