After nearly one and a half years of driving practice, the research and implementation of this project has preliminarily achieved the purpose of application research, basically eliminated the phenomenon of vehicle jumping on the bridge deck, achieved smooth and comfortable driving, safe and beautiful driving, reduced impact damage to the bridge, and extended the service life of expansion joints. The research and construction of the project are introduced as follows.? 2. Determine the research object? Xx bridge of a highway. The bridge is a steel beam arch structure. There are 5 holes in the whole bridge, each hole is 40m long, and there are 6 expansion joints on the bridge deck, with a total length of 72m. When the bridge is installed, the gap is reserved too large, and the width of the joint between the two holes is more than 12cm. The original expansion joint is filled with asphalt sand. After damage, it is changed to a full steel expansion joint. Due to the excess of rigidity and insufficient flexibility, the fasteners of the steel expansion joint are often damaged, causing the steel plate to fall off and the entire expansion joint to be damaged, And maintenance is very difficult. The bridge has a large traffic volume and many heavy vehicles. Due to the damage of expansion joints, the impact load of driving is large. There are 6 joints on the east side of the heavy lane and 4 cracks on the bridge deck pavement, which are more than 1m wide, directly threatening the safety of the arch ring. In view of the special type and structure of the bridge and the severity of expansion joint damage, this bridge is determined as the application research object.
