Structural composition of cast iron gate It is mainly composed of brake frame, ram, hanging seat, tight inclined iron and other parts. Generally, gates with medium specifications or above can be made into assembled type. Structural design of cast iron gate It is mainly composed of gate frame and gate plate. The gate frame is the supporting component of the gate plate and also the running slide of the gate plate. It is installed and fixed in the secondary concrete of the sluice pier and the gate bottom plate by the anchor bolts to safely transmit all the water pressure borne by the gate plate to the gate chamber. The ram is a movable water retaining component used to close and open the orifice. Cast iron frame beams are set around the plate surface. In order to improve the strength of the ram, the plate surface is made into an arch shape, and the central angle of the arch is designed as 60 degrees to reduce the water pressure on it. In order to facilitate manufacturing, transportation and installation, the ram can be made into upper and lower parts. After arriving at the installation site, the ram can be connected and assembled into a whole by bolts. The upper and lower plates at the connection are provided with flanges and rib plates to make them become the middle beam of the ram, so as to improve the longitudinal rigidity of the ram. The longitudinal rib plate is provided in the width direction to improve its transverse rigidity and play the role of longitudinal beam at the same time. Operating principle of cast iron gate The ram is a water retaining component that directly bears the water pressure. The gate frame is a supporting component around the ram and also a slide for the ram to move up and down. The part outside the slide is embedded in the secondary concrete of the pier and the bottom of the gate to evenly transmit the water pressure borne by the ram to the pier and the bottom of the gate chamber.
