Leachate also includes the water contained in the garbage itself, the water generated by garbage decomposition and the infiltration amount of groundwater. Due to the influence of many factors (including physical factors, chemical factors, biological factors, etc.) during the flow of leachate, the quality of leachate changes in a considerable range. Generally speaking, its pH value is between 4 and 9, CODCr is between 2000 and 62000mg/L, BOD5 is between 60 and 45000mg/L, the content of refractory organic matter is high, and it generally contains toxic substances such as high concentrations of heavy metals. In short, urban garbage leachate is a kind of high concentration organic wastewater with complex components. If it is not properly treated and discharged arbitrarily, it will pose a serious threat to groundwater and surface water.
