A Brief Analysis of Taoist "Simple View of Nature" and Landscape Design
Taoism, like Confucianism and Buddhism, has a wide range of influences and has an important impact on the traditional Chinese garden concept. Taoism's aim of respecting nature has a great impact on Chinese classical literature, art and garden architecture. In the garden, it is shown as advocating the natural landscape, and indulging in it reaches the realm of being born without existence and acting without reliance. Although we are also learning from nature, our understanding is often too rational or one-sided, sometimes tired of social reality, and our works lack ideological content. Inspired by Taoism's "simple view of nature", here we simply combine traditional philosophy with modern landscape design and propose the following concepts, methods and principles related to modern landscape design. Modern design strives to respect nature, and returning to nature is deeply loved and respected by people. Through analysis, there are many similarities between the modern organic view of nature and the Taoist "simple view of nature", which enlightens us that landscape design must pay attention to the intrinsic ideology and the importance of inheriting and carrying forward Chinese traditional culture. The stones from other mountains can be used to attack jade. With the development and progress of society, people's ideological and cultural level is constantly improving, and society will increasingly need thoughtful and tasteful landscape design. The reference and application of Taoist "simple view of nature" undoubtedly has important practical significance.
