Cast iron gate is mainly composed of gate frame, gate plate, hanging seat, tight inclined iron and other parts. In order to overcome the shortcomings of steel doors that are easy to rust in the past, the gate frame and gate plate are all made of cast iron, and the gate frame is composed of upper crossbeam, lower crossbeam, left straight beam and right straight beam. For the convenience of manufacturing, transportation and installation, the ram is generally composed of upper and lower parts according to its size or height.
According to the different combination of gate plate structure, the gate can be divided into integral type and assembled type. The small size gate is generally made into an integral type, but the gate at the construction installation point with poor mechanical transportation conditions can also be made into an assembled type, so as to facilitate manual transportation. Generally, gates with medium specifications or above can be made into assembled type.
The ram is a water retaining component that directly bears the water pressure. The gate frame is a supporting component around the ram and also a slide for the ram to move up and down. The part outside the slide is embedded in the secondary concrete of the pier and the bottom of the gate to evenly transmit the water pressure borne by the ram to the pier and the bottom of the gate chamber. The contact points between the upstream surface of the gate frame and the downstream surface of the gate frame are mechanically refined and processed. After planing, they are straight, smooth, and closely fitted, so that the joint surface, stop surface, and movement slide are combined into one. Under the action of the hoist, when the gate is opened and closed for operation, close the inclined iron and the gate frame slide to ensure the vertical and horizontal running track of the gate. Under the dual action of water pressure and close the inclined iron, ensure the smooth operation of the gate plate, make the gate plate closely fit the gate frame slide, so as to achieve the purpose of effective water stop.
Precautions for gate installation
1. Before installing the gate, first check whether the bolts at each connection part are loose due to transportation, loading and unloading. If they are loose, fasten them.
2. Check whether the water stop on the connection between the main vertical frame and the transom is misaligned. If there is, loosen the connecting bolts to adjust the water stop in the same plane.
3. The gate shall be installed in place as a whole, and the gate frame and gate plate shall not be installed separately to prevent deformation of the gate frame.
4. Before the second phase pouring, the gate shall be hoisted in place as a whole, and then the correct positions of front, rear, left and right shall be found, and then the bolts shall be adjusted and welded firmly with the engineering reinforcement.
5. Before the gate leaves the factory, in order to make the gate plate and the gate frame fit more tightly and reduce the gap after installation, the gate with a height of more than 2 meters is installed with a press plate clamp on the upper and lower transoms, and a jack screw is added on the inclined iron of the vertical frame. Attention shall be paid to the removal of the jacking screws of the clamping iron and the inclined iron after the clearance adjustment to make the gate open and close.
6. When pouring concrete, the mortar flowing into the gap between the gate plate, gate frame, inclined iron and baffle shall be removed to prevent the mortar from setting and affecting the opening and closing.
