Zirconium silicate is classified according to its ZrO2 content. Generally, the higher the content is, the greater the whiteness is. It is a non-toxic, tasteless white or gray white powder, which is processed from natural high-purity zircon sand concentrate through superfine grinding, iron removal, titanium processing, surface modification and other processes.
Zirconium silicate, with stable chemical properties, is a good and inexpensive opacifying agent, whitening agent, anti-seepage agent and stabilizer, which is widely used in various ceramic production. It is widely used in the processing and production of ceramic glaze.
Zirconium silicate is not affected by the firing atmosphere of ceramics, which can significantly improve the separation performance of ceramic body and glaze, and improve the hardness of ceramic glaze; Zirconium silicate can play a whitening role in ceramic glaze, because it forms oblique zircon after ceramic firing, which scatters incident light waves to achieve the effect of opacification and whitening.
Product application:
(1) Used as opacifying agent for ceramic glaze.

(2) Plastic
It is used as filler for epoxy resin sealing resin formula, silicone, vinyl resin and resin to increase heat resistance and improve resistance insulation value. It is used as filler for inert, fine, white and chemical resistant fillers.
(3) Refractory materials and brake pads
Cast zirconium refractory is used for glass melting furnace; Heat-resistant porcelain; Refractory casting and sand washing of refractory plate; Special refractory porcelain; Refractory cement; Add wear-resistant materials for brake pads.
Zirconium silicate has also been further applied in the production of color picture tubes in the television industry, emulsified glass and enamel glaze in the glass industry.
