Recently, the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense has approved the establishment of the Jiangxi Data and Application Center for High Resolution Earth Observation System in Jiangxi Province. The Jiangxi Provincial Office of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense is responsible for construction management, organization and coordination, and business guidance. Relying on the Jiangxi Institute of Defense Science, Technology and Information, and taking East China University of Technology and other universities and research institutes as technical support, Establish the organizational system of Jiangxi Data and Application Center of High Resolution Earth Observation System. This marks the official launch of the application of the National High Resolution Earth Observation System in Jiangxi Province, and also marks the new expansion of the application scope and depth of Jiangxi's military civilian integration industry.
The high-resolution Earth observation system is one of the 16 national major science and technology projects established in the National Medium and Long term Science and Technology Planning and Development Outline (2006-2020). It will build a national high-performance Earth observation system covering the atmosphere, land and ocean, and operating in a coordinated and stable manner in time and space. High score projects are not only Tianyan projects, innovation projects, but also livelihood projects. Jiangxi has an urgent and extensive demand for data resources of high-resolution Earth observation system, especially in many fields such as Poyang Lake water resources management, agricultural farmland monitoring and food security early warning, and accurate positioning of non-ferrous metal deposits. The establishment of Jiangxi Data and Application Center of High Resolution Earth Observation System will not only meet the needs of Jiangxi's economic and social development for high score data, but also play a leading role in scientific and technological innovation of major special projects of high resolution Earth observation system.
