Based on OptiStruct size optimization and CATIA surface construction method, the optimization design of the lower control arm of the variable wall thickness suspension was carried out, and the feasibility and reliability of the scheme were verified through simulation analysis and real vehicle test to realize the lightweight design of the lower control arm. The optimization design method of variable wall thickness proposed in this paper can provide reference for lightweight design of other auto parts.
