Ankylosing spondylitis is a chronic inflammatory disease characterized by fibrosis, ossification and ankylosis of the major joints, intervertebral discs, fibrous rings, connective tissue of the limbs, belonging to the category of rheumatism. Once the thoracic spine is involved, it can be manifested as back pain, anterior chest pain and lateral chest pain. The common deformity is humpback. It can be clearly diagnosed through the MRI scan of the thoracic spine or related antibodies. After taking NSAIDs, the pain symptoms can be relieved quickly. For such patients, they should avoid strong weight bearing, generally try to sleep in a hard bed, avoid pillows, and can relieve back pain by taking a hot water bath.
