Dubai World Island is a man-made island group, located outside the coastline of the center of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with an area of about 9 square kilometers. This group of islands is composed of more than 300 small islands, similar in shape to the continents and countries on the earth, and is called the "World Map".
In order to get electricity, Dubai World Island uses underground cables. The cable is connected from the power grid of Dubai, and then connected to the power grid of the World Island through the submarine cable. These cables are buried on the seabed to protect them from seawater and other natural factors.
The power supply of Dubai World Island is the responsibility of Dubai Electric Power Company (DEWA). DEWA is the main public utility company in Dubai, responsible for the supply of power, water and gas and other public utility services. Its power supply for the World Island mainly comes from Dubai's gas and solar power plants.
In general, the power supply of Dubai World Island is connected to the power grid of Dubai City through underground cables and submarine cables, and is provided by DEWA.
