First, we need to see whether it is acute thyroiditis, subacute thyroiditis, or chronic immune thyroiditis. If it is acute suppurative thyroiditis, it needs to be treated with anti infection therapy, which is usually caused by bacterial or other microbial infections. Before subacute thyroiditis, there is often upper respiratory tract infection, acute pain in the thyroid area, which can be accompanied by abnormal thyroid function. Systemic symptoms such as fever can be treated with non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Severe patients need to be treated with glucocorticoid, which is a hormone. Generally, the course of treatment is two to three months, and some patients can relapse.
