The initial symptoms of AIDS patients are similar to those of colds. Patients can have fever, fatigue, headache, diarrhea, swollen lymph nodes, limb pain and other non-specific infection symptoms. It usually occurs within 2 to 3 weeks after HIV infection. The symptoms are relatively mild, and they can heal themselves. But these symptoms cannot be relied on to diagnose AIDS. AIDS diagnosis must be done by testing AIDS antibody, AIDS antigen antibody, or HIV nucleic acid. If after the window period, do these tests, and the result is positive, it can be diagnosed as AIDS.
