The cervix is 2-4 times larger than normal, which is called cervical hypertrophy. It is caused by the long-term stimulation of chronic inflammation, which leads to the proliferation of local fibrous connective tissue in the cervix. It is a result of chronic inflammation. Cervical cancer screening should be carried out after cervical hypertrophy is found. For example, TCT examination or HPV examination of the cervix can determine whether there is cervical precancerous disease. If there is no cervical precancerous disease, simple cervical hypertrophy does not need treatment as long as the surface is smooth. If cervical hypertrophy is combined with cervical erosion, which causes leukorrhea, vulva pruritus, and odor, then it needs treatment. This treatment is actually to treat cervical erosion, not cervical hypertrophy. That is to say, cervical hypertrophy is a chronic inflammatory state of the cervix. If the patient has no symptoms, no treatment is needed.
