Doxofylline is a kind of theophylline drug. It plays a role in relaxing the bronchus and airway inflammation by inhibiting phosphodiesterase, increasing the cyclic adenosine concentration of smooth muscle cells, antagonistic adenosine receptors, enhancing the strength of respiratory muscles, and enhancing the airway cilia clearance function. It is one of the effective drugs for the treatment of asthma at present. Doxofylline injection is mainly used for severe asthma, which is generally given by intravenous drip. Its main adverse reactions include nausea, vomiting, arrhythmia, blood pressure drop and polyuria, which can excite the respiratory center, and excessive intravenous injection speed can cause serious reactions. It should be used with caution for patients with fever, pregnant children or the elderly, and patients with liver and kidney dysfunction.
