There are three kinds of diseases that often cause cervical acne: 1. Papulous postpubertal acne, which is mainly manifested by deep and mild inflammatory papules, pustules and nodules, often invades the lower 1/3 of the face, jaw and neck. With a small amount of acne around the forehead or face, its pathogenesis may be related to hyperandrogenism. 2. Neck scar folliculitis is suppurative folliculitis that occurs in the back neck and neck. The pathogenic bacteria are Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus albus, which are mostly found in men, often accompanied by sebum overflow and acne. Hair follicular papules and pustules occurred repeatedly in the back neck, which became nodules after healing, accompanied by dotted alopecia, and keloid hyperplasia. 3. Malassezia folliculitis is an inflammatory disease of hair follicles and their surrounding caused by Malassezia. It usually occurs in the areas with rich sebaceous glands, such as shoulder, neck, chest and back, and presents dense or scattered hemispherical follicular papules, sometimes induced by pustules, the use of immune agents, corticosteroids or antibiotics.
