Spring orchids have high requirements on the environment and need to be cultivated carefully to have a high survival rate. The following are some references for planting spring orchids. I hope that spring orchid growers can help.
Operation method
The habits of spring orchids. Chunlan likes a cool, humid and well ventilated environment and avoids extreme heat, dryness and direct sunlight. The growth soil of spring orchid is suitable for the soil with good drainage, rich humus and slight acidity. Born on stony hillsides, forest edges, and transparent places in the forest, with an altitude of 300-2200 meters, it can rise to 3000 meters in Taiwan.
Planting of spring orchids. The germination rate of spring orchid seeds is very low, so it is best to select the uncracked fruit for sowing. After the surface is sterilized with 75% alcohol, take out the seeds, soak them with 10% sodium hypochlorite for 5-10 minutes, take them out, rinse them with sterile water for three times, and then plant them in the culture bottle containing the culture medium, and then place them in the dark culture room, with the temperature maintained at about 25C.
Spring orchid flower room. The survival rate of spring orchids will be much higher if they are cultivated in the flower room. The flower chamber should control the soil properties well. It should be acidic soil, and the temperature should be controlled between 20-30 degrees. Have a good ventilation environment and pay attention to the control of solar illumination. The other thing is to pay attention to pest control and other work. There are many contents in this design. Please consult technical workers.
Transplantation of spring orchids. First, cut 2-3 cm growth buds from the roots of orchids cultivated for 2 or 3 years, wash them with running water for 20 minutes, remove the outermost 1-2 bracts in the sterile tissue culture room at 22-25 ℃, and soak them in sodium hypochlorite solution for 15 minutes for sterilization. Then peel it off, cut it into 2-5mm stem tips, inoculate it on the prepared medium, move it to the culture place, and send out rhizomes 3-4 months later. When the test tube seedlings grow to 5-8 cm, they can be transplanted. Take out the seedlings from the bottle, clean the culture medium adhered to the root, and then plant them into the matrix mixed with perlite and vermiculite, and water them thoroughly. Keep in a cool place. Three months after survival, the plants were planted in small pots, and the management method was similar to that of ramet propagation.
Water and fertilize. In summer, orchids should be watered in the morning and evening to keep their stems and leaves moist, and watered once a week to ensure the absorption of roots. In addition, water twice a day in spring and once a day in autumn and winter. The fertilization work of orchids should also be done well. Organic fertilizer can be used, but the concentration should not be too high.
