Meniere's syndrome, also known as Meniere's disease, has no clear cause. At present, it is believed that the pathogenesis of this disease is mainly the imbalance of endolymphatic production and absorption. The main theories are as follows: 1. Mechanical obstruction of endolymphatic vessels and obstruction of endolymphatic absorption, such as congenital stenosis, dysplasia of endolymphatic sac, inflammatory fibrous degeneration and thickening, may cause mechanical obstruction of endolymphatic vessels or obstruction of endolymphatic absorption. 2. The theory of immune response, studies have confirmed that the inner ear can receive antigen stimulation and generate immune response, and the endolymphatic sac has absorption dysfunction due to the deposition of antigen antibody complex, which can cause hydrops of membrane labyrinth. 3. According to the theory of inner ear ischemia, dysfunction of autonomic nervous system and vasospasm of inner ear can lead to microcirculatory disorder of inner ear and endolymphatic sac, tissue hypoxia and metabolic disorder... eventually, hydrops of membrane labyrinth will form.
