If the carpal tunnel syndrome is to be treated with drugs, some oral drugs, including non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, neurotrophic drugs, etc., are usually used clinically for the purpose of reducing local edema, diminishing inflammation, relieving pain, and nourishing damaged nerves. It can also be used for local blocking treatment of drugs injected into the carpal tunnel. The commonly used drugs for injection are steroid hormones, procaine, etc. Carpal tunnel syndrome is a kind of nerve compression syndrome caused by the compression of median nerve in the carpal tunnel. The main symptoms are pain in the front of the wrist and numbness and weakness of the hand, which are common in the thumb, index finger or middle finger area where the median nerve is distributed.
