Northern Shandong Province. North Shandong is mainly Dongying, Binzhou, the northwest of Weifang, most of Zibo and a small part of Dezhou. In Chinese history, it used to be the old revolutionary base area of Bohai Sea. There are many historical celebrities, including Sun Wu from Dongying, Tang Saier from Binzhou, and Liu Yong from Weifang. Historically, there was no clear geographical boundary. Before the establishment of Dongying City, it was under the jurisdiction of Huimin, Dezhou and Liaocheng.
