Weihe River, called Weishui in ancient times, is the largest tributary of the Yellow River. It originates from Niaomu Mountain in Weiyuan County, Dingxi City, Gansu Province, and mainly flows through Tianshui, Gansu Province, Baoji, Xianyang, Xi'an, Weinan and other places in the Guanzhong Plain, Shaanxi Province, to Tongguan County, Weinan City, and flows into the Yellow River. There are Qinling Mountains running from east to west in the south of Weihe River, and Liupan Mountain in the north.
