The injury identification shall be carried out immediately after the occurrence of the injury, while the disability identification shall be carried out after the end of treatment (generally three months after discharge), after the patient's physical condition is relatively stable, and if there is a fixed object in the body of the injured, the fixed object shall be taken out.
For different purposes and requirements of entrustment, the appraisal period is also different:
1. Injury identification (minor, serious and minor injuries)
(1) According to the condition of primary injury, it can be identified after injury;
(2) For those with residual dysfunction, such as facial damage or organ (brain, hearing, vision, etc.), limb function damage as the main assessment basis, the assessment shall be conducted after the injury is stable and the treatment is completed, generally within 90 days after the injury.
2. Disability assessment (traffic accident disability assessment, work injury disability assessment, etc.)
The time of assessment shall be based on the end of treatment of the injury directly caused by the accident or the complication caused by the injury. "End of treatment" refers to the stable clinical effect recognized by the general principles of clinical medicine.
The identification of injury is generally proposed by the public security organ, and the identification of disability can be applied by the party concerned, the employer, both parties to the traffic accident, the public security organ, the People's Procuratorate, the People's Procuratorate, the People's Republic of China and other inspection departments. The subject of entrustment is relatively broad.
Disability identification mainly aims to judge the degree of disability after treatment, that is, the degree of influence on the work, life and social ability of the victim. The level of disability identification directly affects the identification results; Injury identification is to determine the severity of the injury itself.
