For patients with carpal tunnel syndrome, blood activating and pain relieving drugs or non steroidal anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs can be used for symptomatic treatment to obtain effective relief. However, the treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome mainly includes conservative treatment and surgical treatment. Correct treatment methods should be taken according to the patient's condition, so as to obtain better clinical results. For patients with mild symptoms and short medical history, conservative treatment should be the first choice, including proper rest, reduction of frequent activity of the affected part, fixation of braces, local hot compress physiotherapy, use of blood activating pain relieving drugs or non steroidal anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs, and local blocking treatment. After regular conservative quality, most patients can obtain better clinical results. However, if the conservative treatment is ineffective or effective, but has recurrent attacks, serious illness, long medical history, and affects the normal life and work of patients, surgery should be considered.
