Multiple thyroid nodules should be comprehensively evaluated and treated according to the nature and function of the nodules and clinical symptoms. For most nonfunctional multiple thyroid nodules, if the nodule is not significantly enlarged, it will not affect the appearance, and there are no obvious compression symptoms, such as suffocation, dysphagia, etc. After the possibility of thyroid malignant nodule is excluded from ultrasound examination, we can choose whether to treat it according to the patient's own requirements, and we can follow up for a long time. If there are malignant signs, thyroid puncture pathological examination is required to determine whether surgery is required. For thyroid ultrasound examination, if malignant thyroid nodules are excluded, their functions should also be observed. If there are hypermetabolic symptoms, the thyroid function should be checked to see if there is the possibility of hyperfunctional nodules. If hormone secretion does exist, surgery or radioiodine therapy is recommended.
