Searching for duplicate names in Excel can be achieved through the following three steps: Data preparation
Enter the name data of the person you want to search into the Excel cell. For convenience, let's assume that your data starts from column A and ends up with blank lines.
Display duplicate names using conditional formatting
Open the Start menu in Excel, find Conditional Format, and select Repeat Value in Highlight Cell Rules. In the pop-up dialog box, select the color you want to highlight, and then click OK. This will highlight all duplicate names.
Filter and delete duplicate person names
Now you can easily see which names are repeated. You can choose to use the filter function to delete duplicate names you do not want to keep. Open the Data menu, select Filter, and then click Advanced Filter. In the pop-up dialog box, select the duplicate name you want to delete, and then click OK.
Through the above three steps, you can quickly find and delete duplicate names in Excel.
