There are many free CDNs at home and abroad, such as Accelerator (now renamed), the famous CloudFlare, etc. When it comes to domestic free CDN, Baidu Cloud Acceleration (don't be mistaken, it's not Baidu Cloud) has to be mentioned.
Baidu Cloud Acceleration is a product of the famous Baidu company. It also provides free and paid CDN acceleration services. It has acceleration nodes at home and abroad, as well as statistical access, advanced acceleration settings and other functions. Compared with other CDNs, one advantage of using Baidu Cloud Acceleration is that site SEO will be more friendly to Baidu, which is conducive to site inclusion.
In addition, it is worth mentioning that sites without records can also use Baidu Cloud to accelerate CDN, but only use foreign nodes (should be American nodes), which is also explained in the official help.
Recently, the small station replaced the CDN with Baidu Cloud Accelerated CDN. After using it for more than a week, I felt that the effect was good, but there were also some small problems. Here is an article to record for reference by friends who want to use Baidu Cloud Acceleration.
Register to access Baidu Cloud Acceleration
First, open the home page of Baidu Cloud Acceleration: next.su.baidu.com
Click Login in the upper left corner, or register a new account. The account used here is Baidu account, which is common to other Baidu services.
After logging in, the "Management Console" will appear at the top of the page, and click to open it (if the red box in the figure below)
As shown in the figure below, the console page has just been registered. Click "Access Now"
Enter the domain name you want to accelerate, and select the acceleration method. The default is NS access. Note that the acceleration mode cannot be changed after setting. Select settings as required, and click "Next" after completion
Step 2: The system will automatically scan the current DNS record of the domain name and import it. If there is any omission, it can be added manually. Click "Next" when finished
I don't know why. When I got to this step, the system didn't detect any parsing records. It's strange.
Then, according to the prompt, go to the domain name registrar to modify the NS record of the domain name for Baidu; If the access method you selected previously is CName, the resolution record of the domain name will be modified accordingly. Click "Setting Complete" after modification
Then the domain name access is completed, and the CDN will take effect after a period of time (usually more than ten minutes). At this time, the page is shown as follows

So far, the website has successfully accessed and used Baidu Cloud to accelerate, and its access statistics and other functions can also be used normally.
Function Preview
The four icons on the left side of View Report correspond to security, acceleration, statistics, and management subdomains. Acceleration and security protection modes can be adjusted (some functions are available in paid versions)
The statistical report data is clear at a glance. But I feel a little inaccurate, and I can't distinguish between search engines and visitors

Simple evaluation and use experience
After the registration, Mini talked about the feeling of using Baidu Cloud Acceleration for more than a week.
In general, Baidu's CDN performance is good, but the disadvantage is that it is sometimes unstable and the resolution speed is average (the acceleration node is the U.S. node).
Xiaobian thinks that the average performance of each acceleration can only be described as satisfactory, which is better than the direct connection to some foreign free space, but it is much slower than that when the small station does not open the CDN direct connection to the host. It took more than 20 seconds to load the page at the slowest time. However, the mini station uses American nodes. If your site can use domestic nodes, it is estimated that the acceleration effect will be much better.
This is a test report with poor performance in 360 speed measurement. There is no need to say more.
Result of local ping
Another shortcoming of Xiaobian is that if NS access mode is used, the domain name resolution office cannot set up independent resolution for foreign or some operators, which is not as good as accelerator music.
In other aspects, I feel that it is good, with a full range of functions. In addition, I heard that the security protection function of Baidu Cloud Acceleration is not bad. The most surprising thing is that after using Baidu Cloud Acceleration, the collection effect of small stations in Baidu has really improved.
As for whether the free version of CDN is good or not, it can't be generalized. Only in terms of function, it is inferior to the paid version, but this is understandable. After all, the service provider also needs to maintain normal operation.
In fact, as a small editor and website administrator, Mini believes that the free version of Baidu Cloud Acceleration is enough for an ordinary small site to meet the basic acceleration protection needs. And the probability of product problems of a large company like Baidu is also relatively small, so individuals or small sites need not worry about other aspects of the problem.
