Getting to know P A.R.A, A systematic knowledge management method, suitable for note taking

P. A.R.A (Projects, Areas, Resources, Archives) is a very good idea for notes, which can be used immediately. It is very suitable for Flomo, Notion, Flying Book and other note taking tools. I think P A. R. A has solved the problem of label abuse and information disorder, and is close to the idea of project group management.

  • Area is a domain, which can contain multiple projects to support or improve the area. For example, the health field can include several projects with goals and completion time, such as short-term diet improvement projects and fitness projects
  • Projects is temporary work to complete a goal. Therefore, a project must have goals and completion time.
  • Resources can be used as a knowledge base to support Areas and Projects A resource can use several Areas as labels.
  • Expired projects and resources can be archived in Archives.

In note taking practice, areas should be the main label, and projects should be the secondary label of corresponding areas. The Resources tag is dominated by Area.
