Dayang News In the morning of September 8, Guangzhou released waterlogged sections in the city, including the culvert of Xinjiao Road in Haizhu District. The reporter went to the culvert at Shangchong section of Xinjiao West Road and directly hit it. It can be seen that there is deep water in the culvert under the road. The staff of the Housing and Construction Department of Haizhu District are in emergency, pulling up two warning lines outside the culvert and constantly transporting sandbags.

The field staff told the reporter that due to the continuous heavy rainfall, the water level of the rivers around Xinjiao West Road rose sharply, and the water level of the rivers was higher than that of the four pedestrian culverts in this section, resulting in the problem of back filling and flooding. After receiving the report, the housing and construction department immediately enclosed the surrounding of the culvert with a warning line. After judging that there is no danger, they stacked sandbags at the culvert opening on the side of the dike, and continued to pump water. At noon, the reporter paid a return visit and found that the water in the culverts of Xinjiao West Road had been drained.
