nginx.service start-pre operation timed out. Terminating.

problem
After the server restarts, the Nginx service will not start automatically. There is no problem when you manually start the Nginx service.

There is not enough timeout value to start the Nginx service

This may also happen to other services. There is not enough timeout value to start Nginx or Apache or other services

Open the init script with any text editor (for example, vi):
For Apache:/usr/lib/systemd/system/httpd.service
For nginx:/usr/lib/systemd/system/nginx.service

Increase TimeoutStartSec parameter value

Debian9 or Ubuntu 18
The exact initialization script can be found using the following command
systemctl status apache2.service | grep loaded
systemctl status nginx.service | grep loaded

Open the init script with any text editor (for example, vi):
For Apache:/lib/systemd/system/apache2.service
For nginx:/lib/systemd/system/nginx.service

Increase TimeoutStartSec parameter value
