Today, Microsoft officially launched the "big update" version of Windows 11, Windows 11 23H2. Users can download the official image file from the official website for new installation or upgrade installation. This update includes the AI chat robot named Copilot.
Like the previous versions 21H2 and 22H2, Windows 11 23H2 will be supported for two years, providing cumulative updates, fixes, and new functions every month. It should be noted that the Windows 11 21H2 life cycle ended earlier this month. As for version 22H2, Microsoft will stop supporting it one year later, that is, October 4, 2024.
The new version of Windows 11 is released once a year in the second half of the year through the General Availability Channel. Today marks the beginning of 36 months of service support for Windows 11 23H2 Enterprise Edition and Education Edition, and 24 months of support for Windows 11 23H2 Home Edition and Professional Edition.
Although the "big update" of Windows 11 sounds exciting, if you have installed the Moment 4 update, there is almost nothing new in version 23H2. After the new installation of Windows 11 23H2, you will notice that the biggest change is that there is no Cortana and the old mail application. Microsoft has replaced the latter with new Outlook. In addition, Chat is no longer fixed on the taskbar, and Microsoft Teams has taken over it.
If you upgrade from the old version of Windows 11 or Windows 10 to 23H2, the latest version will bring you many new functions. Just a few examples: Windows Copilot, redesigned volume mixer, taskbar upgrade, new file explorer supporting RAR format, setting native RGB control in applications, improved photos and drawings, new Windows backup applications, and so on.
Cloud Knight can click here for Windows 11 23H2. Or download from the official website. Microsoft provides ISO files and media creation tool applications for creating bootable USB flash drives. Or you can go to Windows Update, open the "Get the latest updates as soon as possible" option, and check for available updates.
