The survey shows that in recent years, China's electric vehicle industry has entered a period of explosive growth, and Xiangtan's industrial cluster has taken advantage of the momentum to grow strongly. In 2023, it was rated as the only advanced industrial cluster in the same industry in the province by the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology. From the perspective of industrial growth, in 2023, the output value of the new energy and automobile manufacturing industry cluster in Xiangtan City will reach 109 billion yuan, an increase of 16.5%, and the profit will reach 6.9 billion yuan, an increase of 16.3%. Among them, the added value of enterprises above the designated size of the automobile manufacturing industry reached 7.18 billion yuan, an increase of 22.2%, 16.3 percentage points higher than the growth rate of industrial added value above the designated size of the city, and 15.1 percentage points higher than the growth rate of Changsha Zhuzhou Xiangtan urban agglomeration. The profit increased by 205.4% to 1.436 billion yuan. The annual output of 214900 vehicles increased by 50.6%. In the first quarter of 2024, the industry started well. In addition to Geely remote new energy commercial vehicles and other projects to be mass produced, Xiangtan is actively building a new energy vehicle industry cluster in Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan, and a "city of cars" of over 100 billion.

It is understood that among the 12 industrial chains in Xiangtan City, the new energy and automobile manufacturing industry chain is the industry chain with the best foundation, the most complete chain and the best enterprise development.
