Alibaba Cloud Windows Server Remote Desktop Connection Method
There are many remote connection methods, each of which has different use needs and is used in different use environments.Old Wei said one by one according to different needs.
1. Remote Desktop Connection
We usually use the remote desktop on the local computer to connect to the Windows server.
The operation method is as follows:
Press the [Window+R] key on the keyboard, pop up a window at the bottom left corner of the desktop, and enter "mstsc". After entering, you will see the remote desktop connection.Refer to Tutorial for detailsWindows Remote Desktop Connection Tutorial。
Then the remote desktop link can be saved to the local computer desktop for long-term use.
Click Display Options Save As on the remote desktop connection in the following figure, and then save it to the desktop.

It seems very simple, right? But there is a problem here. That is, many people pay for AliCloud Windows servers without entering a password.At this time, I don't know the Windows system login password. Where can I get it?
Remote desktop connection is suitable for most situations. You can view and operate the server content in full screen. It is also the method recommended by Lao Wei to log in to the Windows server.
2、Workbench remote connection
It is a kind of Web remote connection mode.Click 1 in the following figure to log in now.
Alibaba Cloud Web remote connection is shown in the figure below. Note the options marked with *. Most of them are filled in by default.
Select [Remote Desktop RDP] as the connection protocol;

User name: administrator, which is the default user name of Windows;

Alibaba Cloud Workbench remote connection
The advantage of the workbench remote connection is that the server content can be viewed and operated in full screen, ECS instances can be remotely controlled through web pages, text can be copied and pasted, and multiple operating system users can log in to the same instance.It is the remote connection method recommended by Alibaba Cloud.
The disadvantage is that it is troublesome to log in to the AliCloud account first, enter the console, instance list, remote connection, and then click Login.It is not as usable as the remote desktop connection, which is suitable for emergency use.
3、VNC remote connection
VNC remote connection is recommended when remote connection cannot be checked.So when your remote desktop connection cannot connect to the Windows server, you can use VNC remote connection for temporary emergency.
It is also a kind of Web remote connection mode.Click 2 below to log in immediately.
Alibaba Cloud Web remote connection
At this time, the pop-up window prompts "Enter the remote connection password", which refers to the VNC connection password, not the Windows server login password (instance password).This is an encryption method for Alibaba Cloud VNC connections to improve the security level.
As shown in the figure below, on the right side of the instance list on the AliCloud console, click More, Password/Key, and Modify Remote Connection VNC Password.
Tip: The password for remote connection to VNC can only be seen once. You need to save it for future use. If you forget it, change it again.
Alibaba Cloud modifies the VNC password for remote connections
Click Send Remote Command in the upper left corner as shown in the figure below, and select ctrl+alt+delete to log in to the Windows server.
Tip: Many novice friends press their own keys incorrectly. This is the reason why they can't log in to Alibaba Cloud Windows servers with their own keyboards.
Alibaba Cloud remote connection VNC
The advantage of Alibaba Cloud's remote connection to VNC is that it is the ultimate connection method when no other method can connect to the Windows server.Lao Wei's understanding: remote connection to VNC is similar to the Windows security mode of our local computer. When the Windows system of our local computer crashes, you can log in most of the time using the Windows security mode, and then try to solve the problem.
The disadvantages are also obvious
It is too troublesome to enter the VNC password for remote connection before entering the windows login password;
The screen is also very small, accounting for about 1/2 of the web page, which is not suitable for long-term operation;
The remote connection will be automatically disconnected after a few minutes of inactivity.
Generally speaking, the remote connection VNC is used for emergency purposes, which is very awkward.
4. Send remote commands (Cloud Assistant)
It is recommended to send a remote command (cloud assistant) if you do not want to log in to the instance to complete routine maintenance.The Windows instance must first install or activate the cloud assistant before using commands to execute functions.
Sending remote commands can help you quickly execute commands within an instance, that is, you can view hard disk space, install software, start and stop services, and other operations without logging in to the instance remotely.
This method will not be introduced in detail by Lao Wei. We use Windows servers to use visual Windows desktops.
