Compared with the previous generation shared instance type family (xn4, n4, mn4, and e4), the cost performance is improved. The CPU architecture and main frequency are improved greatly, and the computing performance tends to be stronger and more stable.

Difference and selection between standard S2 and shared s6

1. In terms of CPU frequency, the shared s6 is higher, and the cloud disk of s6 has been optimized for I/O, which is faster than the common cloud disk for reading and writing;

2. The standard s2 is an exclusive model, which occupies the super thread resources of the host alone; The shared s6 is a shared model, and each ECS uses idle host hyper threads. Both are 100% CPU resources. From the perspective of system hyper thread occupation, standard s2 is better, because there is no hyper thread contention;

3. The cloud disk size is 50G by default for Tencent Cloud and 40G by default for AliCloud. Of course, the cloud disk is very cheap. If it is not enough, you can buy an additional data disk to use;

4. There are also differences in price. Take one core 2g1m as an example, shared s6 model（ Click me directly ）The activity price of is lower than Tencent Cloud s2（ Click me directly ）, we can see that these two servers are cost-effective.

5. If you choose any website, you can choose Tencent Cloud's standard s2 model if the budget is high enough. Because it is exclusive, the server can go up when the business needs it.
