2、 Difference and how to choose
1. The CPU is different. AMD ECS is an ECS with AMD CPU as the core launched by Tencent Cloud, while the standard S2 instance of Hong Kong ECS uses Intel CPU. The price difference between the two is not small, and the performance is similar.
If you don't understand these two CPUs, you can refer to buying a computer. Online and offline, you will be asked whether you want to buy Intel or AMD. The former is more expensive, and the latter is cheaper. There is no big difference in speed.
2. The price difference between the two different models of Tencent Cloud SA1 instance and S2 instance is not small. Please refer to the figure above for specific price. Of course, the region is also considered in the price. The computer room in Hong Kong has always been more expensive than that in mainland China. The advantage is that it does not need to be filed, which saves a lot of trouble.
3. The number of network packets sent and received by standard S2 instances is stronger than that of AMD ECS, and the network performance is better.
4. Chongqing is located in the southwest, so it is easy to serve users in the southwest and south. If you use Tencent Cloud CDN, you will have no pressure to serve the whole country.
The AMD cloud server with such a high cost performance ratio can be used for personal blogs, small websites, lightweight apps, code testing, learning, etc. It is cheap and can run smoothly. You should know that Alibaba Cloud servers with the same configuration but limited CPU performance and shared instances cost more than 400 yuan a year. If you need an entry-level server, these two instances are suitable.
