AliCloud CDN acceleration can cache website content to acceleration nodes everywhere, effectively speeding up website access. Weiaisi Blog takes the domain name resolution in Alibaba Cloud (formerly Wanwang) as an example to illustrate that AliCloud resolution adds CNAME Process.

After adding a domain name to the CDN, the system will assign the corresponding CNAME address. To enable CDN acceleration, you need to point the acceleration domain name to the CNAME address. In this way, the request to access the acceleration domain name can be forwarded to the CDN node to achieve the acceleration effect.

For new students, the above words sound a little confused. Old Wei gives an example to explain. For example, if I want to speed up the domain name www.vpsss.net, go to Alibaba Cloud CDN to add www.vpsss.net, and the CNAME address www.vpss.net.w.kunlungr.com will be generated. Then go to Alibaba Cloud DNS to add a CNAME record to www.vpss.net, and the record value is the address www.vpsss.net.w.kunlungr.com, which takes effect immediately. In this way, all requests to visit www.vpss.net will be directed to this CNAME address, and the system will guide the access to the nearest CDN node, thus realizing a complete acceleration process.

Theoretically, domain name resolution DNS and CDN acceleration can be the same business or two different businesses. In this article, because Alibaba Cloud products are used, it is simpler and faster.

Tip: If you want to speed up the main domain name vpss.net, the generated CNAME address is vpss.net.w.kunlungr.com. The following operations are the same. Alibaba Cloud generates addresses in this format, but the addresses generated by each company are different. However, the configuration method is the same.

One thing to remember: both the a record and the cname record are used by the domain name to point to the server. The former does not accelerate, while the latter accelerates. So the domain name resolution can only choose one from two, and can't coexist. This is the contradiction of many new students. They don't understand this truth, and it is wrong to add resolution to both. Please note.

1、 Get CNAME address

Assuming AliCloud CDN is used, Click me to log in On the AliCloud CDN console, click Domain Name Management to copy the CNAME value corresponding to the acceleration domain name.

2、 Add CNAME record

Log in to the AliCloud domain name resolution console, find the accelerated domain name in the domain name list, and click to enter resolution settings.

Find the domain name to add resolution, click "Add Record" on the right to start the operation.

Record Type: select CNAME and add CDN acceleration corresponding to this record type;
Host record: www or @, see which domain you want to speed up;
Resolution line: default;
Record value: www.vpss.net.w.kunlungr.com corresponds to the host record www. If you want to add the @ host record, use vpss.net.w.kunlungr.com; The CNAME record here is added at the top.
TTL: 10 minutes.

If you add a new CNAME record, it will become effective immediately, while modifying a CNAME record takes up to 72 hours to become effective. According to old Wei's practical experience, it usually takes about 10 minutes to take effect.

3、 How to verify whether the CNAME configuration is effective?

After adding the CNAME address, in order to verify whether it is effective. You can ping the added acceleration domain name (such as www.vpsss.net in the above example).

In the Windows 7 system, the ping function can open the dialog window by entering cmd into the win icon in the lower left corner of the desktop.

Input ping www.vpss.net in the dialog window of cmd to get the results shown in the following figure. Check whether it is directed to *. * kunlun *. com, which means that the CNAME configuration has taken effect and the CDN function has also taken effect. At this time, visiting the website will have an acceleration effect.
