Kalamari National Park Creation

Kalamaili National Park has a planned total area of 1.47 million hectares, which is composed of Xinjiang Kalamaili Mountain Hoofed Wildlife Nature Reserve, Xinjiang Qitai Silicified Wood Dinosaur National Geopark, Xinjiang Qitai Silicified Wood National Desert Park and other regions. Among them, Karamaili Mountain Hoofed Wildlife Nature Reserve is a paradise for wildlife. Xinjiang Kalamaili Mountain Hoofed Wildlife Nature Reserve was established in 1982 as a provincial nature reserve. In December 2016, with the approval of the CPC Committee of the Autonomous Region, the Management Center of Kalamaili Mountain Nature Reserve was established, which is subordinate to the Forestry and Grassland Bureau of the Autonomous Region.
