Ma and Li are villagers living adjacent to Sangong Township, Huocheng County. Their houses are built on a slope, Ma's house is built on the slope, and Li's house is built on the slope. Since 2014, Mr. Li has started to repair the house, which is still being repaired. Li once padded two meters of soil for his yard near the back wall of Ma's house, causing the wall of Ma's house to collapse. Later, Li did not do a good job in waterproofing, which led to the falling off of the inner wall of Ma's house, which was damp and smelly.
After the negotiation between the two parties failed, on September 25, Ma sued Li to the People's Court of Huocheng County, asking Li to stop the infringement, remove the obstruction, and restore Ma's house wall to its original state.
On October 11, the judge in charge of the Civil Trial Division of the People's Court of Huocheng County organized both parties to carry out mediation. Because of the long-standing conflicts between the two parties, each party insisted on his own words at the beginning of the mediation and refused to give in.
After the judge patiently interpreted the law and reasoned, the two parties gradually untied their hearts, voluntarily reached an agreement, and the case was closed.
