"In the past, people's mediators, notary office staff and lawyers were not together, so the masses needed to run back and forth. Zhao Qing, head of the Public Legal Service Center of Urumqi Economic Development Zone (Toutunhe District), said.

When he learned that he could apply for people's mediation, he immediately asked the people's mediator at the next window for help. After learning about the situation, Li Baigui, the gold medal mediator, contacted the owner of the restaurant and explained the legal principles and interests. The owner finally agreed to mediate and paid 7000 yuan to Zhang.

"We are solving problems for the common people," said Zhao Qing.

Small things are not small, but warm people's hearts. The Public Legal Service Center of Urumqi Economic Development Zone (Toutunhe District) practices the spirit of Lei Feng in the new era with practical actions, and has successively set up a "civilized practice point in the new era" and a "mass workstation". It has received more than 2800 people, answered various legal advice, provided free legal advice more than 860 people, and organized law popularization volunteers to send the law to the countryside More than 20 events were held in communities and enterprises. It has successfully mediated more than 20 disputes such as employee's personal injury compensation and labor contract disputes, and completed more than 470 pre litigation mediation cases such as property, heat and loan, effectively resolving conflicts and disputes at the grass-roots level.

Wang Jianglong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Judicial Bureau of Urumqi Economic Development Zone (Toutunhe District), said that the operation of the center has enabled the masses to have "legal advisers around" and solved many people's "difficulties and anxieties" in the field of rule of law.
