Exposure of Baidu Maps Tesla lane level navigation interface

[TechWeb] On April 29, it was reported by foreign media that Tesla will cooperate with Baidu in China, and Baidu will provide map and navigation services to deploy the system Tesla calls "Full Self Driving".

A netizen exposed the soon to be updated lane level navigation interface of Baidu Map Tesla. It can also be seen from the figure that the integration of lane level map+visual perception information is very similar to the recently updated U.S. FSD interface, which is expected to be realized in the same OTA.

This means that Tesla has completed the lane level map data required by FSD together with Baidu Maps.

In terms of surveying and mapping qualification that must be solved when ICV enters China, Tesla and Baidu Maps already have deep cooperation. A week ago, Baidu Maps announced that it would cooperate with Tesla, and Baidu Maps' true lane level navigation would debut in Tesla in May.

In addition, according to the Tesla user APP, the description of Tesla China's official FSD purchase page was changed from "later launch" to "upcoming launch".

Yesterday, the China Automobile Association officially released the Notice on the Inspection of Four Safety Requirements for Vehicle Data Processing (the first batch), in which all models produced by Tesla Shanghai Super Factory meet the four compliance requirements for vehicle data safety.

So far, several obstacles to data security and surveying and mapping qualification have been cleared, and Tesla FSD has given a "green light" to enter China.

In addition to the cooperation in the field of maps, Baidu and Tesla will also meet at the summit in the field of L4 automatic driving.

On April 5 this year, Musk announced that Tesla Robotaxiwill be released on August 8. Baidu immediately responded: Welcome to join.

Baidu has been laying out automatic driving technology since 2013. As of April 4, Baidu's Robotaxi "Radish Run" has been tested and operated for more than 100 million kilometers in China's complex cities. Baidu has built the world's largest driverless travel service area in Wuhan, achieving demonstration operation across the Yangtze River and 7 * 24 service for some sections.
