Every day in the circle of friends of Taiwan Qinglin Ziyou, there is a full schedule: the public welfare moral education camp that is about to start, moving the classroom to the workplace, taking the children to experience different professions, participating in the second Sichuan Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Youth Culture Carnival, and also learning and writing papers "by sticking to the needle"... From the first time to come to the mainland after graduating from college in 2015, to the new crown epidemic in 2020, "Going against the wind" started her business in Chengdu. Lin Ziyou "ran" in her best youth, witnessing the development and changes of the mainland. Although her business was frustrated, she finally found a sense of belonging, which made her more confident to take root in the mainland.

"I was born in an 'education family' in Changhua, Taiwan. My parents started the 'Zhiyu' education brand from scratch, and I will follow my mother everywhere to do volunteer work when I was young." Lin Ziyou said that her mother, Su Huiling, is a doctor of education leadership at Stanford University in the United States. Influenced by her mother, she also studied children's education in college.

In the year of Hong Kong's return to China, Su Huiling was invited to Hong Kong to train university presidents, etc., and because she was optimistic about the development and broad market of the mainland, she went to the mainland to engage in education in 2014. Since then, Lin Ziyou often listened to his mother share her life and work in the mainland, and decided to follow her and choose the mainland as the next development node of life. In July 2015, the day after she got her college diploma, she flew from Taiwan to Changsha and began to work and live in the mainland.

When entrepreneurship was frustrated, he wanted to "retreat"

In fact, when Lin Ziyou started her business, she was not so "determined". She smiled and admitted to reporters that she even "backed out" a bit. "In fact, doing education was quite tiring, almost all year round, and I didn't know when the COVID-19 epidemic would end. In addition, I didn't accompany my family in Taiwan for many years, so I was a little hesitant." But when Lin Zaiyou talked with his childhood friends, they remembered their original intention when they were young. "My wish is' I want to help the granny of the moral education camp fulfill her wish 'and bring the moral education camp to the mainland. How can I just give up if this wish has not been fulfilled?"

With the implementation of the "double reduction" policy and various policies benefiting Taiwan compatriots in the mainland, Lin Ziyou and his mother set up an education consulting company in Chengdu, and reached cooperation with Chadianzi Street, Jinniu District, Chengdu, to carry out various public education activities on the platform of the street comprehensive cultural activity center, so as to provide quality education for residents and children from the "gate".

"At the beginning of entrepreneurship, it was the most difficult period of the COVID-19 epidemic. More than five years of savings were invested in it. Every day, we felt like" walking the tightrope ", and sometimes even hid in the quilt and cried." Lin Ziyou recalled with a smile and tears, "It was very difficult at the beginning. The residents didn't trust us very much, and we didn't know much about our hobbies and habits.".

However, Lin Ziyou did not give up easily. He seized the opportunity to carry out various public benefit classes and community activities, gradually making everyone trust him. They also "took the initiative" to find out the educational needs of parents and children through questionnaires, and organized new and interesting public welfare activities such as "moral education camp", "slash children's growth story", which gradually became a brand.

Help children find the future development direction

When asked why he made a "growth story of children with slash", Lin Ziyou said that it originated from his previous training experience. "I once asked how many of the teachers who came to the training had graduated from the major of teacher training or education, but the result was relatively few. I felt very sorry that the major that I spent time and energy studying might not be related to the future career at all." So Lin Ziyou decided to set up the "classroom" at the work site of each profession to let the children know about all walks of life, Help them find their own interests and life direction, set their ambition and strive to be ready.

In May 2020, Lin Ziyou launched the activity of "Children's Growth in Slash Bar" in Chengdu. After that, she took the children as "little reporters" to complete the whole process of interview, writing, taking photos, making videos and holding press conferences; To be a "small commonweal webmaster", play baseball with the hearing-impaired and run with the visually impaired; Become a "small inheritor of intangible cultural heritage" to experience egg carving, Shu embroidery and lacquer art; We also experience the careers of guides, lawyers, urban designers, hotel managers, baristas, archaeologists, firefighters, and so on, so that children can experience the ups and downs of these professions in practical operations.

By the end of last year, Lin Ziyou had led his children to experience 60 professions, including industry and commerce, public welfare, sports, ingenuity, medicine, and government agencies. More than a hundred activities helped many children regain their confidence and yearn for the future. She still remembered that a child who had participated in activities for three consecutive years suddenly said that he wanted to be a diplomat when he grew up and would introduce Chinese traditional culture to the world. "You can't imagine that she had to hide behind her mother when she first came to the event. She even needed her mother to 'translate' her speech, but now she has confidently found her future direction."

God rewards hard work, and hard work has yielded results. In 2022, Lin Ziyou was awarded the honorary title of "Chengdu Youth May 4th Medal". Entrepreneurial projects have also been recognized, achieving flat income support. She said, "I hope that through the integration of Sichuan and Taiwan education, good education projects and education concepts can be passed down from generation to generation among young people."
