Software Introduction

StarUML is an open source UML tool list software, which complies with a revision of GNU GPL.

The declared goal of StarUML project is to replace large-scale commercial UML tool software, such as IBM's Rational Rose and Borland's Together.

StarUML supports most of the diagrams defined in UML 2.0, but lacks functions such as object diagram, package diagram, UML timing diagram, and interaction overview diagram. Although object diagrams and package diagrams can be drawn completely through the class diagram editor.
