However, Google clarified that this layoff is not a layoff across the company, but a reorganization in the normal course of business, and the affected employees will be able to apply for other vacant positions at Google. Although Google did not specify the number of layoffs, some of its layoffs may have been confirmed in the WARN notice submitted on April 24.
