Opera Software on the official blog Announcing cooperation with OpenAI In the new Opera browser, two new AI functions "ChatGPT and ChatSonic" are introduced. The new functions are supported by OpenAI, similar to Microsoft's Bing Chat tool and the AI component in Edge web browser.
After the PC end is updated to the latest version of Opera browser, the browser will automatically open the introduction page of new AI functions. The user can activate the setting button on the page and switch in the open sidebar AI tips (preemptive experience) Function.
After setting, Opera will display three related options. Users can customize where the AI function is placed in the browser. There are three main locations to use AI services: address bar, browser sidebar, and text highlighting pop-up window.
Opera's new AI function Two accounts required : ChatGPT and ChatSonic, and some services may need to be upgraded for a fee.
- ChatGPT has exactly the same functions as its official Web service. After logging into ChatGPT, the Opera sidebar will display a chat interface, and users can interact with ChatGPT directly from the Opera sidebar.
- ChatSonic function provides AI prompt function for Opera browser. When the user selects the page text, Opera will display some suggestions supported by AI components, such as converting to Japanese, creating a new Twitter, etc
