Maimai Farm: Cooperate with supplier partners to promote renewable agriculture and jointly present good food materials
McDonald's continues to work closely with suppliers with the concept of "three legged stool" to jointly implement the requirements and concepts of food safety, quality management and sustainable development, and together present consumers with fresh, reassuring and natural high-quality ingredients. In 2023, McDonald's China launched the plan of renewable agriculture, announcing that it will focus on the five fields of nature, soil, water, livestock and farmers together with nine suppliers to realize the systematic, large-scale promotion and implementation of the concept and practice of renewable agriculture, so that good food materials and nature can live forever.
Take chicken as an example. After McDonald's entered the mainland of China, it actively introduced and developed relevant suppliers to ensure high-quality, stable and sustainable supply in China. At the same time, it also introduced and implemented the world's advanced white feather chicken breeding concepts and requirements, and persisted for more than 30 years to continue to lead the development of the industry. Now, Tyson, Shengnong, Sun Valley, Fengxiang, Zhengda and other chicken suppliers, as well as broiler farmers behind them, all implement common standards to form a community of "wheat and wheat farms", bring "good chickens without cages" to McDonald's consumers, and promote high-quality and green development of white feather chicken breeding and processing.
Fu Fangfang, the chairman of Shengnong Group, said: "We are very happy to present 'good chicken without cage' with McDonald's China. McDonald's has been adhering to the requirements of cage free breeding, chicken house site selection, flat floor environment and grain feeding for more than 30 years, which also allows us to constantly improve the high-quality and green breeding methods, and jointly promote the growth, progress and improvement of China's white feather chicken breeding industry."
