SCHOOL PROFILE

The business administration education of Yunnan University was founded in the 1940s. In 1979, it opened the undergraduate major of "enterprise management" and became one of the first universities to set up business administration education since China's reform and opening up. In 1999, the school integrated the advantages of business management, tourism management, financial management, accounting and other disciplines, established the "School of Business Management and Tourism Management", and created a new era of business management discipline construction and talent training in Yunnan University. The School of Business Administration and Tourism Management, which is responsible for MBA teaching, is one of the key schools for the "double first-class" construction of Yunnan University, and is the only business school in Yunnan Province that has the qualifications for training undergraduate, master, doctoral and postdoctoral degrees in the "business administration" specialty.   • Yunnan University was officially authorized by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council in October 2000 and is the first approved MBA training institution in Yunnan Province. In the first national professional degree level evaluation result released by the Degree Center of the Ministry of Education in July 2018, the MBA (including EMBA) of Yunnan University in business administration was rated "B", ranking in the top 25% of the country, and it is the only professional master degree awarding point in Yunnan Province that has obtained the ranking above B level. As of September 2023, our school has recruited more than 4800 MBA students.


    The MBA curriculum of Yunnan University aims to cultivate middle and senior management talents with both political integrity and talent.   • EMBA's full English name is Executive Master of Business Administration， The "Executive MBA" is a master's degree education mainly for middle and senior managers or entrepreneurs in enterprises and government management departments. In 2009, Yunnan University obtained the qualification of EMBA training for senior managers, and is the only EMBA training unit in Yunnan Province at present.   • Yunnan University has recruited undergraduate students majoring in accounting since 1993, and officially became the "Yunnan Senior Accounting Talents Training Base" in 2000.   • Yunnan University MEM was officially authorized by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council in 2010, and is one of the first approved MEM training institutions in China. By September 2023, Yunnan University MEM has accumulatively enrolled more than 620 students. Since 2019, Yunnan University has recruited students in accordance with the major categories of engineering management adjusted by professional degrees, covering four fields: traditional engineering management, project management, industrial engineering and management, and logistics engineering and management.
