Huashan Tourism Strategy Huashan Mountain, located in Huayin City, Shaanxi Province in the east of Qinling Mountains, is one of the five famous mountains in China, and was called "Xiyue" in ancient times. With an area of 148 square kilometers, the scenic spot is composed of five main peaks, namely, the East Peak (Chaoyang Peak), the West Peak (Lianhua Peak), the South Peak (Falling Wild Goose Peak), the North Peak (Yuntai Peak), the Middle Peak (Yunv Peak), as well as more than 70 peaks and three gorges around. The highest altitude is 2160.5 meters at the top of the South Peak. Huashan Mountain is the holy land of the mainstream Quanzhen Sect of Taoism, and also the god widely worshipped by the Han people, that is, the God of Huashan Mountain in the West. As of 2013, there were 72 semi suspended caves and more than 20 Taoist temples in Huashan, among which Yuquan Temple, Dulong Temple, Dongdao Temple and Zhenyue Palace were listed as national key Taoist temples.
