Yanyu Tower is located on an island in the north of Ruyi Island, formerly known as Qianlin Island. Because of the green lotus, Emperor Kangxi inscribed "Qinglian Island" on the stone brown. From Ruyi Island to Yuequ Bridge, there are three gate halls in the south. Passing through the gate hall, there is a two-story building facing you. The rolling shed rests on the hill and the tile roof. The upper and lower corridors are decorated with Su paintings. The front eaves are hung with the gold plaque "Yanyu Building" inscribed by Emperor Qianlong, and the couplet is: "A hundred feet away from the sky, there is a blue lotus island, and eight windows face the misty Mandarin Lake." On the Yuanyang Island in Jiaxing's South Lake, Emperor Qianlong saw the Yanyu Building built by Qian Yuanliao, King of Wu Yuewen Mausoleum of the Five Dynasties, which is flexible in layout and beautiful in shape. After returning to Beijing, it was imitated in the villa according to the artistic conception of Yanyu Building. Looking north from the tower, Chenghu Lake is as clear as the sky, and the Wanshuyuan Garden is as boundless as the sky. When the mountain rain is misty, the wind is low, the lake and mountain are hidden, the rain is like smoke, and the rain is like smoke, which is amazing.
Between the Yanyu Tower and the Gate Hall is a regular square courtyard. There was a pair of bronze deer on the two stone Xumizuo under the platform. The stone pines in the courtyard are vigorous and straight, and one of them leans south through the eaves, with luxuriant branches and leaves, just like a canopy, which is in line with the Kangxi Emperor's garden building idea of "relying on pines as a house".
